Listen to Your Own Heartbeat. Principles of Womanhood. My View by Disha Joshi.

Each culture defines womanhood differently, and yet the central theme is the same. Question is not so much how women are viewed inasmuch as how women view themselves. That’s the key, not just to this fundamental question in Life, to many others too. Disha is originally from Dehli and have lived and worked internationally. Here’s her view as a part of our indepth exploration of the spiritual aspects of Womanhood. – Anna.

Butterfly - symbol of freedom in many cultures

Butterfly – symbol of freedom in many cultures

I was born and brought up in India –  the characteristics of womanhood which most people use to define it are the following – woman is supposed to be brave, selfless care taker of the family, a home maker ( as the key person to the harmony and peace in the house ). She should be gentle , submissive and be always ready to sacrifice . There is an explicit expression that she’s weak or inferior .

In my independent point of view, I really don’t relate to the commonly described womanhood principles. For a woman is similar to man – because we all are spirit . So woman has same qualities of love , peace , joy , light , strength , intelligence and loyalty as a man – they are the same . In fact, it’s akin to spirit manifesting as different types of flowers – they are of different colors & fragrance , types & shapes however are from the same source ( spirit ) .

Then another picture comes to my mind which is of yin and yang – which again represents the oneness with different and complementing energies . The energy woman brings is a multi-layered feminine one … mild and yet assertive, full of love and yet discerning, of adaptability, creativity and it’s of courage . It both complements and is complemented by masculine energy of one-pointedness, more rooted in practical aspects of life, with sharp intelligence and iron will. However, there is a blurring out the of lines between manhood and womanhood – like a continuum. Since men and women are combinations of both of these qualities and these combinations are infinite, they both play the role of co-creators and hence as the ultimate different manifestation of the same source (Spirit).

So in essence, womanhood and manhood are different (unique) and yet One. Woman and man are one and the same (Spirit) – there’s nothing in the One-ness that is inferior or superior, or that either is stronger or weaker.

Here’s my question, though. Most people consider India to be a very spiritual country peopled by very old souls.  Isn’t it paradoxical then that the same country has over 3 million plus female infanticides a year due to deep rooted belief that man is superior?

Hearts to Heart with Anna. Working in Japan – Clearing Energy, Eyeballing Darkness and Allaying Real Fears.

For me, Japan is exceptionally culturally rich and advanced in very many ways, I love it working and visiting here and find Japanese people to be open, warm-hearted and great fun to be with once we get to know each other. In the light of all that they have been through, not just in recent years – decades too – I find it touching to be amongst their understanding and living of a community consciousness that is largely forgotten in other countries.

One of the things that most concerns people here is the expectation of another huge earthquake, they are worried especially for their friends and families and a part of my work here was to give tools to manage situations if/when they do occur. Being able to complete on a spiritual – or inner – level means you can let go and move on, into a future that is less burdened by memories and therefore more clear. Of course, the way energy works is that when you do it for yourself, you effectively do it also for the other party, and that is a great gift all ’round.

I feel very privileged to be doing this Work with people of many different cultures and in many different lands. Being able to see both light and dark clearly, in neutrality is a great gift in terms of healing. It’s all about bringing light into dark spaces at many different levels and in many different ways. I’m often called to face the darkness full on, and hold steady in this without guarantee of outcome – nor requiring it neither. Just holding space for energy to shift. In some instances too, knowing that darkness always feeds off fear, my own then has to be placed to one side so I’m able to look fully forward at whatever is coming.

Even though darkness cannot exist in the light does not mean that sometimes there isn’t a face-off, and I have to trust that if I’m called to deal with a situation, then that’s what I need to do and just get on with it irrespective. The one thing I can make sure of absolutely is that I am energetically protected, there is no excuse for going into any situation, face off or not, without my shields up. Once this is done, energy is just energy, with awareness it can be calibrated and recalibrated, whatever its frequency and intent. Or left alone.

For your own energetic connection, please do this meditation >> Personal Protection Meditation.

“Anna,” Lilli said to me when we were in private retreat at the foothills of Mt Fuji, before we commenced this Japan journey. “Can Sei-chan sleep in your room? There’s a funny energy in hers.”

“Can’t she clear it?” I asked. It’s quite simple to do. “No,” came the reply. “She’s afraid.”

Clearing personal space in environmental energy has to be a priority for everyone, especially for those of us who travel a lot. ‘Stuff’ gets left behind in the air, energy is energy and often hangs around too. As a matter of responsibility I always clear each hotel room I stay in so I don’t have to sleep in someone else’s energy, and take my own with me, with thanks, when I leave.

One year in Japan I had a hotel room with a very creepy energy, just being in it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I decided not to change rooms, that whatever was there would have to face me rather than the other way around and in that light we could co-exist for the duration.

“I thought you wouldn’t mind dealing with it,” Lilli said after we had left. “So I let you have that room.” I did deal with it, by making sure I was energetically protected whilst I was there, but did not feel called to clear it. It’s important to check beforehand. With spiritual energy, everything just ‘is’, environmental energy and karmic destiny is irrevocably linked with the human experience and all called to be present, each with their level of interpretation of Self. Change has to be invited or requested and Spirit is never imposed nor coerced. I found out later that city had been totally and deliberately flattened in the Second World War, likely then there are remains of grief, lost souls or soul remnants wandering about, beyond that I didn’t feel called to explore nor rescue.

“There’s a part of the Kansai Plain where everyone on the train falls asleep for about 10 minutes,” Lilli said to me the first time we travelled together on the shinkansen through the area. It felt to me like there had been a lot of war, over a very long period of time and, always a font of knowledge, Lilli agreed.

Interesting but no time for a quick history lesson as we were approaching the area. I checked with the overseeing nature deity. Was it appropriate for me to clear this energy? If not, no worries, it might require something quite different, for example a more earth-based energy like that which works through Japanese (and other) shamans. If so, I would be told and so would the Japanese shaman, so the work can be done, divine right order working through us both.

With Lilli and Izumi on retreat

“Yes. Please,” came the reply. Time for new energy. New life. I worked quickly, finishing just before the train entered that space of dull, heavy energy, and we both watched other passengers’ response. No one fell asleep. Goody, I said to Lilli, now we just have to wait a bit to see if the energy sets. We do the work in integrity with All That Is, but we’re not responsible for how it’s received and taken forward. For healing to be permanent, the receiver must do their part too, so they can quickly shift into growth. That’s a major Law of the Universe and I often wonder whether it’s designed so that healers don’t give give give to those who just want a regular quick fix without taking their share of the responsibility for permanent resolution.

Some months later Lilli wrote to say that during another shinkansen journey through the same area, people stayed awake and continued about their business. Good then. Life has to go on, this time in a different clarity for all concerned.

For Life to work, for us to feel fulfilled, change has to be determined and corresponding spiritual energy must be integrated with our everyday lives, so it becomes ‘as well as’ rather than ‘instead of’ – the consciousness of ‘inclusion’. In this new cycle specifically it means that we need to call forth experience of either new things, or old things in new ways, deciding what these might be, and then give ourselves tools to fulfill our vision. We then have to practice. Practice. Practice. Practice.

Practice only means that we prioritise whatever we need in order to create new structure so energy flows deliberately in different ways and change creates itself. We practice until we know that the energy has set and it becomes ‘second nature’, a different, often more uplifted, consciousness, similar to how we learn and then become proficient at riding a bike or driving a car. Nothing happens in five minutes, especially if we don’t pay attention to it. We often work to change our response to situations that have occurred not just in this lifetime, in many others too because they have become imprinted upon our soul. It takes time, more than this, it takes commitment, because we are effectively working with inner space and we have to be serious about it.

Serious, yet light-hearted, that represents our connection with the light already in all our hearts. And we need to remember to have fun whilst doing it, because if we don’t have fun, if we can’t play together, then what’s the point of it all, right?

Anyway, people who are having fun together don’t usually fight.

Whatever you wish, or calls to you, though, is just wonderful, as long as you’re happy. For me, for now, in the midst of and after exceptionally busy days, we make the time to share the love, share the joy of each other and our time together by learning more about each other, our dreams, experiences, families, cultures, food – all in the spirit of Unconditional Community Consciousness, and the Love that we all inherently are.

Listen to Your Own Heartbeat. Come Sit With Me. Submitted by Mary Page Jones

Come Sit With Me.

There comes a
time in your life, when you walk

away from all the drama
and people who create it. You
surround yourself with

people who make you laugh. Forget

the bad, and focus on
the good. Love the people who treat
you right, pray for
the ones who don’t.

Life is too
short to be anything but
happy. Falling down is a part of

life, getting back up
is living.

Understanding Death 5. Death Comes as the End? Or Is It All in the Eye of the Observer. Mary Page Jones shares an experience.

IMG-20150207-WA0006We have been here 5 years.  I’ve known there was a ghost.  Our cleaning lady, who can see the other side, has seen our ghost.  A few weeks ago she went to the basement and the hair stood on the back of her neck.  I knew we had to do something.

Bob and I did an exorcism, I’ve smudged.  I’ve meditated and opened the way for the ghost to leave.  Finally I called a woman I know in California who is a Shaman.  She has been doing Shamanic journeys for 20 years.  Today she came here – thru energy not physically.

It was a very intense time for my friend, Deborah, the Shaman  She found a Young Girl – not of the house but of the earth -who was screaming.  The dark energy my friend felt was the girl and the screaming…she said when she encounters dark energies she gets the dry heaves…so it was today.  The young girl was one of the settlers /pioneers who had come here.   Deborah saw that around the property were Native Americans.  The young girls family had gone to get supplies and while they were away soldiers came attacked her and raped her.  She never recovered, she had gone insane.  The Native Americans were blamed.

The Native Americans stayed because they wanted to correct the story. The land and trauma were here on this property and where we are.  A couple of weeks ago I meditated sensing there were Native Americans here.   I opened a portal for them to leave.

Deborah has been doing Shamanic journeys for 20 years and in that time DivineMother – the embodiment of the Divine Mother has come into her journeys only twice.  Today the Divine Mother, came for the 3rd time Deborah has experienced her.  She came into the basement.  The young girl needed the unconditional love only Mary could give in order to shift and calm her enough to take her out.

The young girl was terrified by the presence of people.

After  the Divine Mother had the young girl safely out she stayed to clear the land.  At that time the Native Americans who had been on the edge of the property came into the front yard, built a fire and sat around it clearing the land and the space and the trauma and their name.

We have been deeply blessed.  Deborah said there was a huge heaviness in the heart.  She also said after my ablation there will be an opening of the heart.

It was all perfect timing given it is Memorial day.

Bob and I are sad for the young girl.  Blessed and happy for the Native Americans and feel touched by the Divine Mother being here.

Listen to Your Own Heartbeat. Turning Experiences Around. The Past is Sincerely The Past. By S.O. Special

The past sincerely is the past and life takes its form and structure from whatever energy we feed into our present moment. Sometimes (often), this is bringing the past in a kind of perpetual video replay so it initiates every single thing in your life, and you then become its prisoner. It’s making that decision to first draw a line around it, then move beyond it that determines courage. And to do it without needing revenge outlines the beginnings of the making of a master. When each of you are able to touch your inner, or Spiritual, being – your Soul – and hold a conversation with yourself, without question nor judgment, you will have truly arrived Home. It’s here that you all seek.

With many people there have been many similar stories and over the decades it has been my privilege to work with many of you and take you beyond your pain and imposed limitation. It’s only now that I feel called by Spirit to share with you through your writings and insights some of the heroic stories of what you did for yourselves and how you were able to leave the past behind, moving into a beautiful future. I call it …. The Emergence. Anna.

Chain & LockAnna asked me during our initial consult, how was the abuse an empowering situation? It was a question I struggled to answer.

I was sexually abused from the age of 6 to 8, I can’t remember who I was before this – there is no before only after. If I didn’t know who I was before the abuse, how could I know how it empowered me or changed me.

The man who abused me was a trusted family friend, I was regularly placed in his care. At the time I thought what was happening to me must be my fault. Why else would my parents put me in in this position? Surely I must be doing something wrong to be violated and punished like this. I started building a fortress around myself … protect, bury and suppress!

I told no-one of the abuse until two years ago. This forty-year secret was my shame that I held alone for all those years. I thought if I pretended it didn’t happen, it couldn’t affect me … wrong answer! It gnaws at you and wears you down. As it snowballed out of control, night time was the worst for me. The haunting visuals and replays were hard to override in the early hours of the morning and the fogginess from drinking wine and taking sleeping tablets placed me further into despair.

Sexual abuse tainted many aspects of my life. It made me question myself for being in a relationship with a female. Every path I took or didn’t take it was there to challenge me … are you doing this because of that? Self-expression was difficult, I became the master of self-deflection.

It was about this time I decided I needed help. I was sick of being a prisoner within myself. Asking for help was hard, I didn’t know how … everything was buried so deep. I didn’t know where to start, in fact I was so confused, I didn’t really know what the problem was.

I took the first step, I knew traditional counseling was not for me – talking about myself was difficult. I found a healer who practiced kinesiology, muscles have memories … I liked that, it felt right for me – it meant my body could do the communicating and it did. My story was out and I immediately started to feel lighter. I knew it was time to let go of the past.

I then met Anna at a spiritual retreat, I remember feeling so peaceful and connected to myself after our first session. I felt I had always been able to love externally and see the beauty in others, but for the first in my life we had turned it to self-love and appreciation … a very powerful place to BE. I began to see the world and my life in a different light. Anna’s writings’ and suggested readings gave me another perspective.

DSC01911 (1) One of my favourite quotes from Anna is ‘You can rewrite your own story because it is the hand of the victor that rewrites history’.  For me, I don’t need to be a victim anymore, I am the person I am today because of the abuse, but it’s not my headline, it is just another experience that’s a part of this life. I have a different story now, the visuals have moved from being full colour to faded sepia.

I am practising listening to myself and acting on my intuition. I TRUST that it is right for me, after all, no-one knows me better than me. I know too, that my partner and I have a soul connection, we are together because we love each other and want to share life experiences. She is my best friend too!

I’m not sure what my next step is and that’s OK, what is most important for me is I’m not carrying the burden of my past. My heart is lighter, I’ve reconnected with myself and it is a wonderful joy to be open and free. Love is the key, I am love.

Listen to Your Own Heartbeat. Clouds. Poem by Joyita Bandyopadhyay

Microsoft Word - Clouds (1)

Clouds:

Clouds of doubt & Clouds of hope
Clouds that bring out our very scope

Clouds that dampen or brighten our lives
Clouds that bring out natures vibes

What is this nature that we talk about?
Is it within us that makes our thoughts sprout?

Each living being carries a seed
The Seed to thrive or to breed

When the seed sown is muddled in dust
The mind wanders & starts to rust

Thoughts of destruction, sadness start to grow
Greed, jealously a muddled flow

Within this trap one starts to think
This life I have really stinks

Clouds of despair begin to show
Wiping out life’s beautiful glow

In such times one needs to stop
Watch their thoughts & make a swap

Be a witness to the thoughts you see
Life is not disdainful but a colourful glee

Bless the ones who prosper & grow
Knowing that blessings will over pour

What you send out will come back to you
So nurture the seeds of loving hue

Life Strategy. Is Change Happening Through You? Or To You?

???????????????????????????????Do you feel that recently Life is increasing in both velocity as well as intensity? It’s a time of great change for everyone and because you are sensitive, likely you are feeling the energy shift.

Many of you are in either deliberate and therefore planned transition or it’s been brought to you in some form and you’re having to deal with it. Or, you’re holding space for someone else to shift, perhaps someone close to you, and either there’s little support around you. Or, that person is resisting and making it difficult all ’round.

Our whole world is changing and it’s gaining momentum. Human nature is to distrust change, then to fear it before there comes the beginnings of acceptance and all of this impacts your energy field. To a certain extent too a shadow is spreading around our worldand you’re having to reach deep, deep down into your wisdom so that you can place everything into correct context to understand what’s happening. Especially at this time you need to be embedded in your own truth, be able move with it freely and not be pulled or pushed (or bullied) by someone else’s opinion (or fear) about what’s really going on.

There is around you now the power of renewal and when you feel exceptionally challenged, best to remember that life always unfolds in the most perfect way. Make the most of each opportunity offered – there always is, in every precious moment. Who are you, what do you want to achieve and how do you want to be remembered? One moment, one step, one choice at a time gives you flexibility in a quickly-changing environment. And your inner voice will guide you all the way.

Your inner voice and your intuition is the same thing; to have a conversation with yourself you have to be quiet and in your own inner space and then Spirit comes to you. Your Spirit. You. That’s why I keep stressing the importance of practice – it keeps you anchored and centred into the core of your Being. It’s exactly the same principle of training for a marathon – when you put in the miles, it becomes easy and seeing a wider, or deeper view becomes your natural way or being.

Spirit, in material form means you are a spiritual being having a human experience. Spirit communicates in many different ways, often indirectly and you have to be paying attention to pick up the messages always there for you It’s much more than the mind, of course, at the same time your thoughts create your life because everything is reflected outwards. So take great care in what you think, how fear-based it all is and most important, whose beliefs you are expressing, and why.

If you’re out of practice, here are beginner-level ones to connect you with your higher wisdom, Intuition and Your Life Choices and also Extend Your Inner View – two very different ways to get to the same inner space. Enjoy! Loads more on this Spiritual Guidance page and as always, email me with any questions.

Meditation Practice – Dealing with Anger

Feel like sometimes you’re so angry that you could just burst? Well, there’s red-hot anger, white-hot anger, implosive anger, explosive anger. Doesn’t much matter what type of anger or angry situation. Anger is anger is anger. Sometimes it’s not worth confronting it, and yet you can’t just let it go.

As with all expressions of Spirit in human form, anger can come to you in many different ways, it can sit latent within you or boil up sometimes catching up in surprise, most oftentimes not. You don’t need to going into the ‘why’s’ of your anger, likely the moment’s passed anyway. It is, however, important to deal wit the ‘what’, so that you can move on irrevocably into the rest of your life (without it hanging around your neck). Here’s a practice to help you on your way which I suggest you do3-4 times a week at least in the beginning. Please let me know how you get on and if you have any questions about what comes up for you.

Life Strategy. Intuition & Your Life Choices

Your intuition is your inner voice, otherwise known as the voice of Soul. It’s always there for you, the key is to know how to tune into it, to connect to a higher wisdom and guidance that comes from deep within you.

Anna speaks here on intuition, healing, space and everything in between, this talk is designed to touch the beauty of your inner self and through this the beginnings of a profound engagement with all of the beauty of life (yours). The Nazareine Speaks on Living in the Light of Love

Love is who you are and all that is. There’s  massive difference on ‘being’ Love rather than ‘doing’ love. Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be in the ‘Is-ness’ of love – and Life – knowing that within each one already are the tools to deal with whatever comes your way? Thus are you more able to relax and to just be, enjoy the journey in the light of your own self.

To realise this, just watch yourself and you go through the next few days watch specifically what arises for you – and please let me know how you get on!
